How does the project protect users?
Loki uses RingCT + Stealth addresses to protect privacy on the blockchain layer.
Explain the Anonymity Sets (per txn): Loki has a fixed ring size of 11 which means 10 decoy outputs are added to the real output
Privacy By Default: Privacy is by default and cannot be turned off for normal transactions
% tx Anon: 95% + of transactions are fully private exposing no identifiable information. Staking transactions, and block rewards expose amounts for purposes of audit-ability
Wallets
What makes your wallet easy to use?
The Desktop wallet is lightweight, clean and communicates directly with the Loki wallet RPC which makes it responsive and quick. Mobile wallets are adapted from the two most popular Monero mobile wallets, Monerujo and Cakewallet. Both have simple interfaces which allows users to send transactions easily
What are you doing to make the wallet more user friendly?
Service Nodes (Loki’s incentivized node layer) will be put in as the default remote nodes providing a highly available remote syncing layer. We are also investigating sharding the network to reduce wallet scanning times dramatically
Supported OS: Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS
GUI? Yes, GUI wallets are available for all platforms
Why is privacy important to your project team?
Throughout the entire design and development process of Loki we have focused on serving those high risk users for where privacy is the only thing between them and persecution. We have established a legally recognised foundation around this purpose and regularly attend talks and produce educational material focused on the singular vision of improving privacy for the everyday person and high risk users.
What makes your project stand out above other projects?
The main focus of Loki is not a cryptocurrency to be just used for transactions, Rather the crypto aspect of Loki is used to incentivize a network of nodes. On Top of these nodes Lokinet and Session are built, Lokinet being a new type of blockchain incentivized onion router and Session being a private messenger based on Signal. Session allows users to message each other without registering a phone number and without exposing their IP address
What do you have in the works for future development?
The team is working on developing the Session application further, we want this to become the key product which onboards users into the Loki privacy ecosystem, this includes adding additional client side features to the messaging application, like the ability for a friend to be giving the ability to remotely delete your database
What is the path to mass adoption of your project?
Messaging applications have an ability to quickly connect millions of users, We hope to be able to effectively promote Session as a messaging application and in the process on-board users to the features of Session which require Loki to use, like custom sticker packs and custom username
